Before and Afters...

I thought I would post some before and after pictures hoping this might inspire someone today. I also want to encourage you all to think more about reusing, or 'recreating' and/or 'recycling' old furniture. The talented Cyndi over at Cyndi's Re-Creations does this in the most extra ordinary ways.

I found this old rocking chair at Curb Mart. :o) The price was right ~ FREE!

It became this ~

This Waverly "Cowboys & Indian" print was literally fabric scraps I had left over from another project a year or so before I found the chair. The seat cushion was also recycled from another project a few months before. It pays to keep 'stuff' sometimes!

This tiny velvet and needle point wing back...

Became this ~

Go ahead! Get that old chair out of the garage and put a slip on it!!!

The Most Important Choice - God Leaves Up To Us

A long time ago I got a daily calender "Timeless Truths For Daily Living" by Max Lucado.

May 18
We cannot choose the weather. We can't control the economy. We can't choose whether or not we are born with a big nose or blue eyes or a lot of hair. We can't even choose how people respond to us. But we can choose where we spend eternity. The big choice, God leaves to us.

Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.
