DIY Slipcover Classes In Your Own Home!

If you have 8-10 hours any two days in a row and an ample amount
of space to host you and up to 3 of your friends who are also
wanting to learn how to make slipcovers, then you have a

DIY Slipcover Workshop!

Here's how our Slipcover Workshops work:

WORKSHOP: Workshops are 2 days long. (2 days should be long enough for everyone to get their project finished) . Day 1 will be making pattern and seam finishes (welt cord or French flange), cutting, serging and sewing Inside and Outside backs and arms. Day 2 will be cutting and attaching the skirt and cutting and making the seat box cushions.

ROLL CALL: It can be only you, or you and up to 3 of your friends.

FURNITURE: You must choose a very simple chair, one with straight lines, with or without seat cushion. No attached back cushions and NO WINGBACKS for first project, the chair must be small and light enough for you to comfortably transport it to and from as well as move around it as you make the slipcover.

MATERIALS LIST: You will need your sewing machine with regular and zipper foot, 1 or 2 packs of needles (size 12, 14, or for thicker fabrics 16) thread, scissors, fabric or plastic tape measure, serger if you have one, and your
100% cotton PREWASHED fabric.

TUITION: Each Student - $250

HOST: For each BFF you get to come
you will receive $10 off your tuition!

Each student must have basic sewing skills, know and understand
how to use your machine and basic knowledge of slipcover styles.

SKILLS LEARNED: You will learn traditional basic slipcover skills. You will learn how to cut and sew cording and French flange on the bias and how to very simply and easily install a zipper in box cushions both seat and back cushions. You will gain the knowledge and the confidence and skills needed to slipcover any project on your 'To Do' list.
